As I mentioned yesterday, October was rough. I have been absolutely slammed at work and have been operating in crisis mode for a month. Our schedules also caught up with us and we spent a lot of time EXHAUSTED. Then we dealt with some financial anxiety as full time daycare loomed. All that in addition to the entire family getting the stomach flu, and worrying about the health issues of a few close friends and family members, made it a doozy of a month, hence the dearth of posting.
I’m already over it. This weekend was perfect and relaxing- exactly what I needed to reset. We are still concerned about money, but the benefit is that we will have more time together as a family. Work hasn’t slowed down yet, but a few days away have reminded me of how much I love what I do. And our loved ones are safe and recovering. It has given me the perspective to see how many wonderful things we’ve done recently.
We’ve been hiking several times:
We went to the pumpkin patch and celebrated Halloween:
We enjoyed some absolutely perfect fall weather:
We had dinners with family and friends, got some things done around the house, and enjoyed each other’s company. So it wasn’t an awful month… just busy. And things are only getting better.
